First Scrimmages Report

We started out the competitive year by taking on Fort Myers Christian School in consecutive scrimmages against their girls and boys teams. Our girls fought hard and pulled out a victory 23-22 over FMCS. With several new girls on the team it was great to see how they are beginning to mold together.

The boys started out their scrimmage with four middle schoolers and one high schooler on the court. FMCS had three experienced players, and quickly jumped out to a big lead. They led 19-9 at half-time. We began to shuffle in more experienced players, and began to whittle away at their lead. But, FMCS held on and won 31-25. I was proud of the way our older boys fought back into the game. I was also blessed to see some of our younger players begin to step up and play well.

Our next scrimmage will be against Cape Coral Christian School on Friday, December 12th. There will be two games back to back. Since CC Christian does not have a girls team this year, this time our games will be as follows:

3:30 P.M. vs. CCCS Middle School Boys
4:30 P.M. vs. CCCS High School Boys

The location of these scrimmages will be at Cape Coral Christian School, which is on the campus of Cape Coral Community Church, 811 Santa Barbara Blvd., in Cape Coral.
For your calendar: We will take on CCCS again on Friday, January 9th, and FMCS again on Thursday, January 29th.
